Heading East to find Western Wear

Joe is on the hunt for a cowboy hat. Every store we go into he always checks the hats. Somebody told us of a western store in Delaware that has a good selection of everything western and since we weren’t having luck in Maryland, we decided to head over there to check it out. The drive was very beautiful and after we got into Delaware we crossed a BIG suspension bridge that had Joe FREAKING out (on the inside) – outwardly he was doing pretty good.

Welcome to Delaware BIG bridge

We finally get to the store and it seemed like they were going out of business. There was hardly anything left and we were disappointed by the selection. We Welcome to New Jerseyleft there and stopped at a local restaurant to eat and the waitress told us of another place to check for hats – Cowtown – in New Jersey. It was only about 15 minutes away so we headed there after lunch and crossed another state off the list of the ones we’ve been to.

Cowtown was one HUGE fleamarket – inside and outside. There was such a massive selection of everything there from jewelry to clothes to computers and everything in between. Joe found a style of hat he liked but not the right size. Cowtown Joe and Jadyn at Cowtown

So we left there to go to another western wear shop we saw on the way. We admired the clothes and the bling belt buckles, but clearly the store was very  high priced. Jadyn had fun riding the bike with a horse head on it though – freaky looking thing. Oct16 025

They did have a discount section in the garage of the house next door though (I know – weird). I found a really pretty straw hat with turquoise jewelry on it, but I decided to wait until we got to our next destination to get one. Unfortunately Joe struck out again. I didn’t realize that finding a hat would be so hard. Maybe it’s because we were looking east for western wear.
